Lane-Repair Recap
Parking + use of upper Lane: Parking is prohibited on the lower Lane at this time. Until further notice, please do not walk on the upper Lane at this time.
Waterproofing: Contractors have started the waterproofing process on the upper Lane. They began with the garden pits and are moving through all three sections. They hope to have the waterproofing on the entire Lane finished soon. To stay on schedule, crews will continue to work on weekends, as necessary. Following the waterproofing stage, the garden pits will be filled with soil (but not plants yet), and the fieldstone will be installed on the upper Lane.
Concrete, electrical, plumbing: As waterproofing and walkway work is executed on the upper Lane, contractors will simultaneously work beneath the Lane. Concrete chipping — to prepare for new concrete on the underside of the Lane — is complete for all three sections. Concrete replacement is underway on the underside of the Lane. Electricians and plumbers are on the Lane to work on updated lighting and plumbing.
Painting: Painters will soon begin their work. They will be sectioning off parts of the lower Lane to prepare for painting, starting with the back-third section and working their way down to the first section. This preparation process includes power washing and priming. It is likely that residents will not have external access to garages during the painting process, because tenting may impede garage access. Similarly, it may become necessary for residents to enter and exit homes via the upper Lane once the painting begins, because tenting may impede lower-Lane door access. The Board will keep residents updated about logistics and access to homes during the painting process; please stand by for further information.
Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility. TRM estimates that construction will be finished in mid-November. So, we can all look forward to a return to normalcy within the next month!
Respectfully,
Your Mayfair Lane Board
