No Meeting Today + Please Read Updates
Dear neighbors,
We have some updates for you!
After the concrete pour was completed the week of September 25, preparations for the installation of the waterproofing membrane occurred last week. A third party was scheduled to test the concrete last week to see if it’s ready for the waterproofing membrane.
No Meeting Today, October 9
Although the Board usually holds meetings for all residents about repair updates every Monday at 7:30 p.m., there will not be a meeting on Indigenous Peoples’ Day (October 9).
Upcoming This Week
Concrete column bases: Any demolished concrete bases of columns will be restored. Any concrete bases that are damaged but not demolished will be patched, cleaned up, primed and painted.
Cracks: Any large cracks you see on the underside of the Lane will be patched, primed and painted.
Waterproof membrane: Contractors will install a waterproof membrane atop the deck. They will start in the garden beds and work their way to the center of the upper Lane after the concrete is cured. This may take place over two weeks.
It is critical you do not walk on the upper lane until further notice. If the waterproofing membrane is damaged in any way, its waterproofing purpose will be nullified, causing costly repairs. Therefore, even if you notice the protective barriers removed from the upper Lane, entering the upper lane is strictly forbidden (unless there is an emergency) until further notice. TRM will be positioning temporary barriers on the Lane at night to prevent non-residents from entering the upper Lane.
In Weeks Ahead
Electricians will install a new electrical conduit on the lower Lane.
After the waterproofing stage, contractors will install fieldstone atop the deck and fill garden pits with soil. We are organizing a Re-landscaping Committee to help execute logistics of the re-landscaping process.

Parking
Please do not park on the lower Lane this upcoming week and during the weeks ahead. Painters, plumbers, concrete contractors and electricians will be working on the lower Lane, starting early in the morning.
Thank you, everyone, for your continued patience and flexibility! Mid November is the estimated timeframe for the construction’s completion, so we’re nearing the finish.
Respectfully,
Your Mayfair Lane Board
