A garden gnome is among plants

April 17, 2023

In preparation for the Mayfair Lane restorative construction of the shared upper deck scheduled to commence Monday, April 24, now is the time to remove items. All loose items on the upper deck and lower lane need to be removed, including any plantings that you plan to save or possibly donate.

Each homeowner/tenant is responsible for the removal of the items in front of their house, both upper deck and lower lane. If any homeowner needs help, please reach out to the board and arrangements can be made.

Any items not removed from the deck or lane will be discarded by the construction crew.

Examples of items to remove:

Upper Deck:

  • Plantings: flowers, plants, trees, bushes, etc.*

  • Garden ornaments: gnomes, flags, rocks, etc.

  • Planters, baskets, flowerpots, etc.

  • Hoses

  • Doormats

  • Garden lights

  • Items affixed/tied to wrought iron railing

Lower Lane:

  • Boxes

  • Statues

  • Flags

  • Flowerpots, faux plants

  • Items hanging from beams and/or house

  • Doormats

  • Green Recycling totes/bins**

  • Garbage totes/bins**

* A Mayfair Lane community member with country property is willing to host anyone who wishes to temporarily relocate plants. Please contact the board if interested.

** Recycling and garbage totes/bins should be moved to the front lower entrance where they will be aligned on one side or the other along the pedestrian walkway entrances. During construction, we will most likely be sharing the recycling totes.

Thank you!
