Repair Project, Parking, Zelle & More
Dear Mayfair Lane residents,
We have some updates for you …
Lane Repair
Removal of the fieldstone and inspection of the concrete deck (the portion of the Lane between the planter beds) is complete. Due to the level of degradation and deterioration of the concrete, TRM has advised that the necessary repair will involve reinforcing/replacing the rebar and pouring a new deck portion of the Lane.
While this is a more "substantial" repair than the patching that was originally called out, we have been told that this will likely be a faster process and further improve the longevity of this repair. TRM is currently working with its subcontractor on the logistics of this change, and more information on when and where this work will start — and its impact on quality of life — will be forthcoming. We estimate concrete work will start after the July 4th holiday.
Temporary lighting has been placed on the lower Lane. Temporary lights will soon be on the upper Lane!
For your safety, please do not walk on or use the upper Lane. If it becomes necessary for you to use the upper Lane, please email the Board beforehand so we can determine with TRM whether it is safe to do so.
Parking
For now, residents on the west side (the even-numbered side) can park on the lower Lane on weekends. However, cars on this side must be moved by 7 a.m. each Monday to avoid interfering with Lane repair work. Please also note that with concrete work estimated to start in two weeks, there will be updates to this parking policy. When parking requirements change, you’ll receive notifications.
With construction underway, please make sure to be respectful of Lane parking rules — both in general and related to construction. Cars improperly parked on the Lane during construction could impede contractors and delay the entire project or be at risk of damage during construction hours. As a general reminder, please be sure that neither you nor your guests park in a neighbor’s space unless said neighbor has given their consent beforehand. If you or a guest is parking in an exterior space, please be cognizant of the demised spaces, as incorrect parking can make it difficult or impossible for homeowners to access their garages.
Payments on Zelle
Thanks to an excellent suggestion from a Lane homeowner, we’ve implemented Zelle, a digital payment network enabling homeowners to quickly, safely and easily make payments to Mayfair Lane Inc.
To use Zelle:
1. Enroll your email or mobile number through your mobile banking app or with the Zelle app.
2. Once on the interface, select Mayfair Lane Inc. by typing the treasurer’s mobile number as the phone number.
3. Enter the amount to send.

If you’re not interested in using Zelle, feel free to continue using the payment method you have always used.
Neighborhood Reminders
We want to thank all homeowners for their patience and understanding during this Lane restoration project. Especially as the restoration work begins, we want to remind all homeowners that anyone conducting activities that could impact other homeowners (for example, maintenance work that might be loud, stir up debris, or bring a number of outside visitors to the Lane) notify their neighbors. If this will have a Lane-wide impact, we ask that you notify a member of the Board to ensure that it will not conflict with scheduled restoration work.
We also ask anyone with concerns about the care, upkeep or appearance of a common area to please let the Board know so we can all approach the changes together.
Many of the above are long-standing rules of the Lane.
