Review the Lane-Wide Finance Meeting & Read Key Updates

A sticky note says "read me"

August 16, 2023

Dear Mayfair Lane residents,

Please note the following:

Construction Updates

Steel contractors are finishing steel repairs on the back-third section (section 3) of the Lane and will soon begin conducting steel repairs on the bridge connecting sections 3 and 2.

Concrete workers will install concrete forms in section 3 in preparation to pour concrete. Warning: This installation may be noisy. Once they pour concrete, it will take approximately seven days to cure, since an additive will be used that enables quick curing. Following curing, the concrete will be tested to see if it is ready for the waterproofing membrane. Once the steel contractors are finished with section 3 repairs, this concrete process will move to section 2, then section 1.

Soon the landscaping company will provide samples of the fieldstone for the upper Lane; all Lane members will have the opportunity to see the samples.

Finance Meeting: Video & Documents

On August 14, 2023 we held a lane-wide finance meeting for homeowners. If you missed the meeting, you can watch a video recording of the meeting.

It is imperative that you watch this recording because important information was conveyed about the construction project’s cost and funding, loan requirements and repayment plans, the financial impact to quarterly homeowner common charges, and assessment scenarios. Lane members also engaged in a session of questions, comments and answers — so you should be aware of what was discussed.

In addition, a PDF of the August 14 presentation is available for you to review.

Lane Safety & Parking

As a precaution: With construction generators parked near buildings — and the possibility of fumes entering inside — please be sure you have carbon monoxide detectors installed in your homes. We recommend the type that connects to a mobile app, so you can monitor your detectors remotely.

Mayfair Lane is an active construction area. Unless it’s an emergency, do not enter any section of the upper Lane. Parking is still prohibited on the lower Lane. Neighbors who need accommodations can contact our Construction Manager, Lou, using the information in the email we sent on August 16, 2023.
