Parking on West Side During Festival + Construction Updates
Dear neighbors,
We have some information for you …
Construction Updates
There are no urgent construction updates at this time. TRM believes that the fieldstone demolition will likely be finished by the end of this week. The immediate next steps are:
1. Electricians will remove the light fixtures on the underside of the Lane (we’ve inquired about temporary lighting).
2. Plumbers will prepare for new drainage.
3. In approximately 3-4 weeks, an abatement specialist will remove paint from the supports.
Additionally, concrete tapping will take place over the coming weeks.
Residents on the even side (west side) of the Lane should continue to avoid parking on the lower Lane. At this time, residents on the east side may continue parking on the lower Lane. For your safety, please do not walk on or use the upper Lane. When walking on the lower Lane, please walk on the sides (as close to the houses as possible), instead of walking directly under the middle of the Lane.
This Weekend: Parking
As you may know, the Allentown Art Festival is this weekend. Due to the expected influx of cars in the neighborhood, we asked TRM whether residents’ cars can be parked on the west side (even side) of the Lane this weekend.
TRM has confirmed that there will be NO work on the Lane this weekend, so you CAN park on the even side of the Lane this weekend. But please note: By 7 a.m. Monday, cars should no longer be parked on the even side of the Lane.
Respectfully,
Your Mayfair Lane Board
