Concrete Demo, Construction Hours, Vehicular Access & More

The entrance to Mayfair Lane

July 14, 2023

Dear Mayfair Lane residents,

Please be advised that preparation for concrete demolition on the back-third section of the upper Lane is underway with demolition work to begin imminently. Fencing is in place in this section of the Lane and, within the next day, a construction mesh will be added over the fence to reduce exposure to dust and debris and dampen noise. Please be advised that there may be increased noise as soon as today (July 14th) as crews finish prep work and move toward demolition work on the back-third section of the Lane.

The parking restrictions circulated July 7th remain in effect. This is to allow contractors full access to the Lane structure and prevent delays.

Neighbors are reminded that the Lane is now an active work site. We've been advised that during, at least, the demolition phase of this project, construction hours will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

For both resident safety and to allow crews space to work, vehicular access to the Lane is restricted during construction hours. Please note that a central access Lane will remain available for emergencies and for ingress and egress to/from #21. Entrance to the Lane during non-construction hours is dependent on conditions during construction; during construction there may be time where material and/or equipment may prevent access to exterior parking and/or garage spaces. Neighbors with circumstances that may necessitate accommodations to the parking restrictions are encouraged to contact our Construction Manager Lou C.

The Mayfair Lane Board appreciates everyone's compliance with the parking restrictions. Our goal and the goal of our construction team is one: to perform this phase of construction as quickly as possible with the lowest level of inconvenience to homeowners.

The subcontractors and TRM are constantly evaluating how to best juggle those two objectives. At this time, the restriction on parking in the lower Lane (garage and exterior spaces) is to allow crews the space to perform their work safely and efficiently. As work progresses, this may change to allow for increased access to Lane parking.

Please be assured that we are in regular communication with TRM to understand the construction plans and to advocate for parking in a way that is safe for residents and allows for work to be completed as quickly as possible. Any changes will be promptly communicated to all homeowners.

Residents with questions or concerns related to the construction or construction schedule are encouraged to contact our Construction Manager, Lou C. His contact information is listed in the email we sent you on the morning of July 14, 2023.

We thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility.

Respectfully,
Your Mayfair Lane Board
